As the air escapes the sprinkler heads each zone should be turned off at the bleeder valve one at a time. The irrigation water main control valve can then be turned completely to the on position.

Its almost time to apply Pre-Emergent to your Lawn to prevent weeds. The key is to look for the Forsythia to bloom and to switch active ingredients year to year...don't use the same chemical from the same company every year and be patient to not apply pre emergent until just the right time.
